MHS Acquires Innovative Public Safety Software Company: Core Systems
Toronto, ON – Multi-Health Systems Inc. (MHS) is excited to announce its acquisition of Northern Ireland-based software company Core Systems, a solutions provider accelerating positive change in the justice system globally through innovative technology. This acquisition aligns with MHS’ collaborative, multi-party approach to advance equity, improve access to justice, and increases systemic efficiency for each individual impacted by the justice system.
Core Systems specializes in interactive technology solutions supporting justice involved individuals. Their solutions assist and enable individuals in custody, on probation, and serving community sentences to take an active role in transitioning back into the community successfully.
MHS has provided trusted, psychometrically sound scientific-based assessments and solutions in the public safety space for decades. The acquisition of Core allows for MHS to further its mission to create new lines of service that offer end-to-end solutions that go beyond assessment, by providing a real-time picture of a facility’s ecosystem in order to diagnose issues, improve outcomes and drive meaningful changes for individuals impacted by the justice system and those who serve them.
MHS CEO, Hazel Wheldon, believes that together, MHS and Core Systems will deliver impactful solutions as public safety agencies shift prioritization from incarceration to recidivism reduction. The MHS partnership with Core Systems will offer valuable efficiencies for public safety related organizations by streamlining information requests and empowering staff to take a more active role in rehabilitation efforts. “By bringing rehabilitation services closer to service users, minimizing breaches, and helping people get back on track, this partnership will significantly impact probation services and help create safer communities,” says Hazel.
Patricia O’Hagan, CEO, of Core System states, “We are proud to become a part of the MHS family and excited to join forces with a company that shares our values and vision for a better future. Together with MHS, we will continue to drive innovation in the justice sector. We look forward to serving our customers with the same passion and dedication that has driven our success thus far.”
MHS will continue to build on the success and positive outcomes Core Systems has enabled for thousands of community members and public safety staff. Together, MHS and Core Systems will enable novel integrated technology solutions for public safety organizations worldwide.
