Creating equitable opportunities
With over 40 years of experience in developing tests and rating scales for the education market, we have been honored to collaborate with educators, researchers, and practitioners to improve the equitable identification of students with high potential across ever-increasingly diverse communities.
Learn more about the Naglieri General Ability Tests™. These tests measure general intellectual ability across verbal, nonverbal, and quantitative content areas. The Naglieri General Ability Tests™ were carefully designed to remove cultural influences, allow students to solve problems regardless of the language they speak, and
significantly reduce the amount of formal knowledge required so that the tests measure how well students “think,” rather than what students “know.”
We’re also excited to announce the arrival of the Gifted Rating Scales™ Second Edition (GRS™ 2). The original Gifted Rating Scales have been trusted worldwide to identify children for gifted and talented educational programs for decades. The GRS 2 was designed to take a more comprehensive multidimensional approach to identifying gifted students, providing a richer, more nuanced understanding of a student’s abilities. The GRS 2 supports a well-rounded gifted assessment process by incorporating insights from various perspectives.

Embracing digital evolution: A journey towards innovation and impact
Our transition from paper assessments to digital solutions marked a significant milestone for us. By developing industry-leading digital tools, we are laying a strong foundation for more robust solutions across all industries we serve. This digitization effort not only enhances the value, accessibility, and utility of our assessments but also enables more efficient real-time decision-making, crucial in scaling treatment, particularly in the healthcare market, where the demand for care often outpaces the availability of clinicians.
We have successfully navigated the complex landscape of data compliance and security, positioning our digital tools as viable solutions for some of the world’s largest healthcare providers. This accomplishment reflects our dedication to creating secure, compliant, robust digital platforms that meet the rigorous demands of modern healthcare environments. You can read more about our Digital Trust Framework here. Our digital transformation has opened new opportunities for us to provide solutions at scale. Through integrations and implementations, we offer unparalleled access to our scientifically backed solutions that integrate directly into electronic health record systems. This solution enhances clinical workflows by providing seamless, real-time insights, ultimately improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency. It also ensures that our tools are not simply digitized versions of paper assessments but advanced, secure, and compliant digital solutions that meet the high standards of the healthcare industry.
Our tools and solutions are underpinned by rigorous scientific research, ensuring their efficacy and reliability. We are leveraging tried-and-true measures and pioneering in new areas, such as our recent work in identifying and supporting gifted students from traditionally underrepresented groups. By leveraging world-class science to address current challenges, we’re creating better outcomes across all areas we operate in. This achievement is a testament to our commitment to innovation and excellence.
The Role of technology in rehabilitation and beyond
Investing in technology and novel solutions helps us support our communities by evolving our offerings. By aligning with the Risk-Needs-Responsivity (RNR) model, our solutions are designed to assess and address individuals’ specific risks and needs at various stages of the justice process. This model ensures that interventions are tailored to each individual’s risk level and personal needs, enhancing the effectiveness of rehabilitation efforts. Through advanced technology and data-driven insights, our Core Pathway solution provides a comprehensive approach to support individuals at every stage of their journey, promoting successful reintegration and breaking the cycle of recidivism. This targeted support is crucial in creating a more just and supportive community.
Empowering equity in education
MHS has been at the forefront of developing tests and rating scales for the education market for decades. The Naglieri General Ability Tests™ are a prime example of our commitment to fairness, equity, and inclusivity. Designed to remove cultural influences, the tests measure how well students “think” rather than what they “know.”
By using fair and inclusive assessment practices, educators can unlock new opportunities for these students and help them reach their full potential. As we continue to expand our offerings in the gifted and talented space, we remain committed to providing innovative and inclusive assessment tools that recognize and nurture the potential of every student.
Strategic innovation: Moving into talent selection and beyond
New products help drive innovation, and our teams fuel all that by bringing their diverse expertise and creative, collaborative problem-solving skills. We are expanding our talent portfolio to more completely embrace the entire employee lifecycle to provide a fulsome solution to organizations looking to select, grow, and promote their talent.
We now deliver comprehensive solutions across the entire talent management continuum, from selection and onboarding to development and succession. This holistic approach to servicing the employee journey is supported by developing new tools and forming innovative partnerships.
Finally, we would not be able to do what we do so well without our tremendous team MHS. Our culture embodies the nature of our business—caring for and supporting others is our mandate and, therefore, our culture. A common purpose connects us: doing well, doing good. This naturally drives us to attract individuals who are passionate about this purpose. Our innovation stems from this same place; By grounding everything we do in how we affect the lives of others; we foster an inherent drive to continually innovate. I look forward to seeing where this innovation fueled by compassion takes us next!
