2nd Edition

A comprehensive, evidence-based broadband assessment of behavioral, emotional, social, and academic functioning in youth. Capture performance across key domains and move confidently to next steps.

About Conners CBRS® 2

Conners Comprehensive Behavior Rating Scales™ 2nd Edition (Conners CBRS® 2) is a multi-rater broadband assessment for youth ages 6–18 years. It provides a structured, evidence-based view of functioning across Parent, Teacher, and Self-Report perspectives. Built on decades of research and updated to reflect current diagnostic frameworks, this multi-rater assessment helps qualified professionals move efficiently from broad concerns to confident next steps.

A Modern Framework for Understanding Youth Functioning

Results are organized into four clinically meaningful domains that offer a comprehensive view of the youth’s psychological and behavioral profile. This transdiagnostic structure helps professionals identify broader patterns of functioning, providing context beyond individual scale elevations

Strengths

Intra- and interpersonal competencies that can support growth, resilience, and positive development.

Neurodevelopmental

Challenges often emerging early in development, including attention, learning, social communication, and cognitive functioning.

Externalizing

Disruptive, impulsive, or aggressive behaviors that are directed outward.

Internalizing

Negative emotions and distress that are directed inward.

Purpose‑Built for Clinical and Educational Decision‑Making

Conners CBRS 2 is designed for clinical and educational settings, providing reliable, interpretable insights to support:

Detection of meaningful symptom patterns and severity gradients
Diagnostic clarification
Progress monitoring over time
Differentiation between overlapping presentations
Intervention and treatment planning
Special education eligibility and re-evaluation decisions
Identification of areas for additional assessment

Understanding Complexity Across Clinical and Educational Settings

Why Start with a Broadband Measure?

By evaluating behavioral, emotional, social, and academic functioning together, a broadband measure like Conners CBRS 2 can reveal how challenges may overlap, differ across settings, and affect day-to-day functioning.

Bringing together perspectives from parents, teachers, and youth themselves provides a more complete understanding of strengths and areas of need across multiple settings.

How Conners CBRS® 2 Makes a Difference

Checkmark
Identify broader patterns of functioning by understanding how concerns cluster and interact across domains, rather than appearing in isolation
Checkmark
Compare functioning across raters and environments (parent, teacher, self-report)
Checkmark
Evaluate both strengths and areas of need in a single, integrated profile
Checkmark
Make informed decisions about eligibility, diagnosis, intervention planning, and when additional assessment may be appropriate

From Broadband to Targeted Assessment

When areas of concern are identified, targeted (narrowband) assessments can provide deeper insight to support diagnosis, eligibility determination, intervention planning, and next steps.
