SUMMARY:Identifying Twice-Exceptional Learners: Giftedness\, ADHD\, and the Role of Comprehensive Assessment (ADHD Webinar Series)
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”” css_params=””]Number of credits: 1 CE* \nWebinar description:\nGiftedness and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can each shape how a student learns\, behaves\, and engages at school\, but when they occur together\, a student’s profile can be especially complex. Twice-exceptional (2e) learners with ADHD may be overlooked\, misunderstood\, or misidentified when strengths and challenges are considered in isolation. \nThis webinar will help attendees better understand the nuanced assessment considerations involved in identifying gifted students and gifted students with ADHD. Participants will be introduced to Dr. Pfeiffer’s tripartite model\, learn about key components of the Gifted Rating Scales™ Second Edition (GRS™ 2) and explore common factors that contribute to missed identification and misdiagnosis. The session will offer practical insight into recognizing the whole learner and supporting more accurate\, fair\, and comprehensive identification practices. \nLearning objectives:\n• Identify key challenges in recognizing gifted students and twice-exceptional gifted learners with ADHD. \n• Describe dominant models of giftedness and their relevance to assessment practices\, with attention to how these models can support more comprehensive identification of twice-exceptional learners. \n• Explain key features of the GRS 2 rating scales and how they can help inform the identification and assessment of gifted and twice-exceptional learner profiles.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”” css_params=””] \nPresenters:\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” css_params=””]Steven Pfeiffer\, PhD\, is the lead author of GRS 2 and an internationally recognized expert in the psychological and social-emotional development of high-ability students. With more than 40 years of clinical\, research\, and consulting experience\, including academic roles at Duke University and Florida State University\, he brings deep expertise in understanding the needs of gifted and twice-exceptional learners. \n \n[/vc_column_text][vc_separator css=”” css_params=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_zigzag color=”white” css_params=””][vc_zigzag color=”white” css_params=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Register Now” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center|color:var(–porto-primary-color)” google_fonts=”font_family:Archivo%20Black%3Aregular|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal” css_params=”” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fmhs.com%2Fadhd-webinar-series-2026%2F”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_zigzag color=”white” css_params=””][vc_zigzag color=”white” css_params=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”” css_params=””]*Continuing Education Credits   \nPlease read below for the organizations MHS has approval from to offer CE Credits.    \nMulti-Health Systems Inc.
