DESCRIPTION:Certification Description\nDate: April 28 & 30\, 2026 @ 12:00 – 16:00 EDT \nThis is a two-day certification that occurs over a three-day period\, with one day in between. \nThe Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test™ Second Edition (MSCEIT® 2) certification program equips you with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively debrief a test taker on their assessment results.  \nThis program takes you through the background of the MSCEIT 2 and emotional intelligence (EI)\, the MSCEIT 2 model and approach\, scores and how to interpret them\, and more. You will increase your knowledge of the assessment through self-paced modules and knowledge checks\, followed by an 8-hour instructor-led training session where you will have opportunities to practice applying what you learned and to ask questions. Overall\, the MSCEIT 2 certification program takes you through the comprehensive learning experience outlined below and prepares you to have stronger relationships with test takers as you work with them to improve and leverage their EI skills.  \nBy successfully completing the MSCEIT 2 certification course\, you will:  \n\nDescribe emotional intelligence (EI) and its importance.\nDescribe the MSCEIT 2 theory and model.\nIdentify how the MSCEIT 2 measures EI.\nInterpret the MSCEIT 2 scores.\nExplain the domain scores: Perceiving Emotions\, Connecting Emotions\, Understanding Emotions\, and Managing Emotions.\nDescribe the two most commonly used feedback approaches: Ability-based approach and Strengths-based approach.\nAssess which feedback approach will help individuals be most receptive to hearing about their MSCEIT 2 results.\nPractice preparing to effectively provide feedback to a test taker using a case study.\nDemonstrate the ability to establish rapport with test takers.\nExplain various components of ethics when using the MSCEIT 2.\nIdentify questions and hypotheses about a test taker’s results.\nUse a case study to describe a test taker’s strengths and areas for improvement.\nIncorporate additional pieces of information and data into the debrief process.\nDetermine an appropriate action plan for test takers.\nDemonstrate effective ways of ending the feedback session.\nDemonstrate the ability to incorporate all the steps of the feedback process into a debrief.\n\nCE Approval Information:\n\n11 CE Contact Hours\nApproved ICF CCE Hours: 7 Core Competency and 4 Resource Development\n\nRegister here \nAbout the Trainer\n\n\n\n\nZena Collins is an ex-Big 4 consultant with more than 20 years global experience across multiple industries\, Zena is passionate about helping people and teams succeed by using their emotions in smart ways—so they can feel better\, work better together\, and reach their goals with confidence.
