About the AuthorDr. Maria Kovacs, Ph.D. has an international reputation for her contributions to the understanding of the depressive disorders in childhood and adolescence. She currently a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburg School of Medicine and Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, where she has been on the faculty since in 1977. She has published extensively on the topics of depression and suicide and their treatment. In addition to her ongoing research on risk factors for and consequences of juvenile-onset mood disorders, Dr. Kovacs has been involved with the various special committees and grant review sections for the National Institute for Mental Health, and is a Fellow of the American Psychological Society.

About the Author:Sam Goldstein, Ph.D. is an Assistant Clinical Instructor at the University of Utah School of Medicine and on staff at the University Neuropsychiatric Institute. He is a licensed psychologist and has been nationally certified as a school psychologist. He is Clinical Director of the Neurology Learning and Behavior Center. Dr. Goldstein has authored over 40 texts as well as over fifty book chapters and two dozen peer reviewed research articles. He currently serves as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Attention Disorders and sits on the editorial boards of six peer reviewed journals.He is the co-author of the Autism Spectrum Rating Scales, Comprehensive Executive Functioning Inventory, Rating Scales of Impairment and the Cognitive Assessment System Second Edition.

Jack A. Naglieri, Ph.D. was Professor of Psychology at George Mason University (2000- 2010) and holds an appointment as a Senior Research Scientist at the Devereux Foundation's Center for Resilient Children. He is a Fellow of APA Divisions 15 and 16 and recipient of APA Division 16 Senior Scientist Award (2001). The author of more than 250 publications, his recent efforts include cognitive assessment, cognitive interventions, SLD eligibility determination and measurement of psychopathology and resilience. He has published a number of tests, including the Cognitive Assessment System, Wechsler Nonverbal Scale of Ability, the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Tests, Devereux Elementary Student Strength Assessment, Autism Spectrum Rating Scales, and Comprehensive Executive Functioning Inventory.
